The pre-packaged Middle Tier includes P&C insurance specific data repositories and internal data movement programs. These components include:
- Source Adpaters: The NexGen Business Intelligence Suite is designed to extract, load, and transform data from online transactional systems into the Middle Tier repositories. Pre-built source adapters for My Insurance Center customers are available for a 100% turnkey solution.
- Staging Databases: Local Pre-Staging and Staging Databases exist for each source system, and act as an “as-is” repository for storing full or incremental source data.
- Global Data Warehouse:Data is brought to the Global Data Warehouse via the ETL processes, then organized and processed through to the Data Mart. Included in the Global Data Warehouse is support for:
- Multi-Currency (Functional, Reporting, Operating)
- As of Dates (YTD, MTD, QTD, Prior Period)
- Multiple Dates (Book Date, Accident Date, Effective Date, Inception Date, etc)
- Data Mart: The Data Mart reorganizes the data for optimized reporting and provides a data structure which ensures performance, extensibility, and supports multidimensional modeling and analysis.
- Multi-Dimensional Cube: This pre-aggregated data structure allows users to analyze 177 measured by 154 logically associated dimensions.
- Global Reference Database: The Global Reference Database is composed of data fed from coporate data sources in order to provide consistency and data stewardship of data which originated from multiple source systems.
